Privacy Policy for Pro Baseball Sim

Pro Baseball Sim is a single-player baseball career simulation. Your career is played and saved on your device. Some optional features — a player account (a made-up handle), the online leaderboard, and reward ads — involve limited data, and this policy explains exactly what that data is, what it is used for, and what we never collect.

The short version: the game runs on your device. If you use the online features, the only things that leave your phone are a random account identifier, the fictional player handle you type in, and your career score for the leaderboard. We never ask for — and never receive — your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or location. Most ads are optional reward ads you choose to watch, plus at most two short ad breaks per in-game season (none with Pro).

1. Data we collect — and data we never collect

DataCollected?Why / notes
Anonymous account identifierYes, if you join the online leaderboardA random ID created for your device account. It contains no personal details and cannot identify you outside the game.
Player handleYes, if you set oneThe made-up name (letters, digits, underscore) you choose. It is shown next to your score on the online leaderboard. Don't use your real name if you don't want it shown.
Career score & leaderboard statsYes, if you submit to the leaderboardYour in-game career score and a short stat summary, shown on the global leaderboard next to your handle.
Cloud save dataOnly if you enable cloud saveA copy of your in-game career (game data only), so you can restore it on a new device.
Real name, email, phone numberNoNever asked for, never collected.
Location, contacts, photos, microphoneNoThe app does not request these permissions.
Payment card detailsNoAny future purchases are processed entirely by Google Play; we never see your payment details.

2. Data stored locally on your device

Your game progress — careers, saved slots, settings, generated teams, players, seasons, and statistics — is stored in the app's private storage on your device. The current released version of Pro Baseball Sim works fully offline: if you never use the online features, nothing leaves your phone.

3. Accounts

The game does not use email/password sign-up. If you join the online leaderboard, the app creates an anonymous account (a random identifier) and associates your chosen handle with it. That is the entire "account": no personal details are asked for or stored.

4. The online leaderboard

Submitting to the global leaderboard is optional. If you submit, the following is stored on our servers and visible to other players: your handle, your career score, and a short in-game stat summary (for example seasons played and home runs). Nothing else is shared. Scores are checked server-side for validity.

5. Ads

Pro Baseball Sim uses light, player-initiated reward ads (watching an ad to refill your player's energy once a day, or for an extra spin of the hourly reward wheel) and at most two short automatic ad breaks per in-game season. When ads are enabled, our advertising partner (Google AdMob) may process device information such as an advertising identifier to serve and measure ads. Where required (for example in the EEA/UK under GDPR, or in California under CCPA/CPRA), you will be shown a consent choice first, and non-personalized ads are used when you do not consent. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings. The one-time Pro unlock removes the automatic ad breaks; reward ads always stay your choice.

6. Purchases

Optional purchases (such as the one-time "Pro" unlock: more career slots, access to premium gear and no automatic ad breaks) are handled by Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment; we receive only a confirmation that the purchase is valid — never your payment details.

7. Analytics

The current version contains no analytics or usage tracking. If we ever add basic crash reporting or analytics, we will update this policy and the Google Play Data Safety form first.

8. How long we keep data, and how to delete it

9. Children

Pro Baseball Sim is intended for players aged 13 and over. The game collects no personal information from anyone, including children; the only user-provided value is a fictional handle. Online features and ads follow the age and consent rules of your region, and where consent is required for personalized ads it is never assumed.

10. Sharing

We do not sell or rent any data. Data is shared only with the service providers needed to run the online features — our backend/hosting provider (Google Firebase, including App Check with Google Play Integrity, which confirms that requests come from a genuine copy of the app) and, for ads, Google AdMob — each acting under their own binding privacy commitments. We disclose data beyond that only if the law requires it.

11. Security

Online traffic uses HTTPS/TLS only. Server-side data is limited to the anonymous ID, handle, scores, and (if enabled) cloud saves, stored with access controls; leaderboard submissions are validated server-side, and online requests are checked to come from a genuine copy of the app. The app requests no sensitive device permissions.

12. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example the EEA/UK under GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export data, and to object to or restrict processing. Because the only server-side data we hold is your anonymous account, handle, scores, and optional cloud saves, the practical way to exercise these rights is the in-app deletion option or an email to us. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority — in Norway, Datatilsynet.

13. Changes to this policy

When we add or change features that affect data (for example when the online leaderboard, cloud save, ads, or purchases go live, or if anything changes afterwards), we will update this policy and the Google Play Data Safety information before release and update the effective date above.
